Panadol Original Tablets contain 500mg paracetamol per tablet for the effective relief of mild to moderate pain and fever. A trusted household medicine, Panadol provides reliable relief from common everyday conditions including headache, migraine, toothache, backache, period pain, muscular aches, sore throat, and cold and flu symptoms.

Paracetamol works centrally to relieve pain and reduce high temperature, making it suitable for a wide range of everyday ailments. Panadol Original is gentle on the stomach when used as directed and is appropriate for adults and children aged 10 years and over (see dosing guidance).

Dosage (UK Guidance)

Adults and children aged 16 years and over:

Take 1–2 tablets every 4–6 hours as required.

Do not take more than 8 tablets (4,000mg) in 24 hours.

Children aged 10–15 years:

Take 1 tablet every 4–6 hours as required.

Do not take more than 4 tablets in 24 hours.

Do not exceed the stated dose.

Legal Information – Non-Pharmacy Sales (UK)

This product is classified as a General Sales List (GSL) medicine when sold in packs of 16 tablets or fewer.

Under UK regulations:

The maximum pack size permitted for general retail sale (non-pharmacy) is 16 tablets of 500mg paracetamol.

No more than 32 tablets may be sold in a single transaction.

Larger quantities may only be sold from a registered pharmacy.

Sales may be refused if misuse or excessive purchasing is suspected.
